Circe hammered disc pendant

As I work, I save every scrap of precious gold dust and offcuts that fall from my benchpeg, and occasionally, I gather some of it together, clean and refine and melt it down, and create something new with it. It's a beautiful, transformative process, and a reminder of the cyclical nature of materials, resources and life.

This is one of those pieces, reclaimed from dust and fire and transformed into a solid gold disc, hammered entirely by hand, suspended on a classic trace chain to be worn close. This is the kind of piece that I turn to again and again for daily wear - it has a raw beauty, perfectly imperfect, and is timeless and versatile. Made to wear everyday, overnight if you wish, and over time the surface will burnish and shine to the pattern of your own life.

MATERIALS:

9 carat gold, stamped with the Edinburgh hallmark.

SIZE:

15mm diameter, 0.9mm thick. Chain length 22", trace chain links 1.8mm wide.

This pendant is also available to buy without a chain, if you already have one that you love. The bail (the loop for the chain) measures 5-6mm internally, and can be easily slipped onto a chain of your own if you wish - please do measure the dimensions of your chain and clasp to ensure that it will fit, and get in touch with me if you have any queries.
