I'm so happy to introduce you to The Vow Collection - meaningful adornments individually carved and crafted using traditional and ancient goldsmithing techniques, each texture a reminder to make the best of our raw and beautiful time.
If memento mori is a reminder of the fragility of life and a call to be ready for the inevitable, then memento vivare is the brightness that balances it - ‘remember to live’.
This collection is the culmination of some joyous research into historical styles which are so timeless, evocative and relevant for meaningful jewels today; weathered textures from antiquity that are rich and tactile and always so unique; magic and symbolism in jewellery through the centuries; and these words of poetry which describe so beautifully the arc of every passing day marked by the endless cycle of the rising and setting sun:
How clear, how lovely bright,
How beautiful to sight
Those beams of morning play;
How heaven laughs out with glee
Where, like a bird set free,
Up from the eastern sea
Soars the delightful day.
No more shall yield to wrong,
Shall squander life no more;
Days lost, I know not how,
I shall retrieve them now;
Now I shall keep the vow
I never kept before.
Ensanguining the skies
How heavily it dies
Into the west away;
Past touch and sight and sound
Not further to be found,
How hopeless under ground
Falls the remorseful day.
All of this - the shapes, forms, textures and symbolism - has come together in a collection of daily adornments and alternative wedding rings with echoes of antiquity and legend, each piece intricately carved and crafted just for you.
