Amethyst and 9 Carat Gold Pendant

A one-of-a-kind amethyst and gold solitaire pendant, ancient-textured and inspired by medieval amulet jewellery, but absolutely made for modern adornment.

According to medieval lapidaries - books on gem lore which describe the various supposed magical, healing and protective properties of gemstones - wearing an amethyst could prevent drunkenness, banish headaches, protect against nightmares and fevers, grant riches and dissipate the effects of evil spells. This particular stone has a watercolour appearance, soft lilacs and cloudy whites, cut with rosecut facets for that antique glint.

Available to buy with or without a chain. This pendant has been made with a generous bail so, if desired, you can add it onto your own chain. Please check the size of your chain to ensure it will fit, see dimensions below, and feel free to get in touch with any questions.

Pendant measures 15mm x 7.5mm. Internal diameter of bail 6mm. Natural, untreated rosecut amethyst measures 5mm diameter.
