A silver ring inspired by medieval posey and amulet rings - jewellery that carried inscriptions and symbols close to the skin.
Features seven-pointed stars engraved four times around the circumference.
The heptagram, a seven-pointed star often seen in medieval art, was commonly used as a symbol of protection in the middle-ages. In alchemy it represents the seven planets (Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn - they’re not all planets!) and the seven alchemical substances linked to the quest for spiritual transformation.
Sterling silver.
Band measures 4mm wide, 1.4mm thick.
Ring size K. Due to the positions of the engravings this ring cannot be resized, but if you'd like to commission something similar please get in touch.
